Trouble Installing on Windows 10?

Hello,

After restarting Windows 10 on my Desktop Vagrant never starts back up and finishes installing. Instead, I have to click on it, and then it asks me to Repair or Remove Vagrant. Once I click Repair, the program just freezes and doesn't respond.

Anyone else experience this?

  1. I don’t know which version you’re running, but I had no issue installing 2.2.6 x64 on Windows 10 earlier today. Now I’m trying to upgrade by installing 2.2.7 x64 and the installer just hangs for several minutes after I tell it to install into the same directory (`C:\Vagrant`) and click ‘Next’. Also shows up as ‘Not responding’ in Task Manager. But given a couple minutes it eventually unfreezes and continues normally.

Edit: I just reread your question, and I think I may have misunderstood initially. Do you mean to say you provision a new Vagrant machine, but then after restarting Windows and doing `vagrant up` you get an error message? That is most often due to not shutting it down properly. When you restart or shut down Windows while the Vagrant virtual machine is still running, what happens to that virtual machine is about the same as unplugging your pc instead of properly shutting it down. Before restarting / shutting down Windows, first do `vagrant halt`. That way the Vagrant virtual machine gets shut down gracefully and should have no issue coming back up again later.
