The Beta version of Chrome (desktop) now also has the full native dark mode (menus with white letters) and also detects system dark/light mode and automatically switches (Windows).

oh shit!!!! fuck yea first they get back/forward multi touch gestures workin and now this.. great work by chrome devs, great work
As a Dark Reader extension user, I’m fucking hyped for this!
Edit: Just tried it, it barely works on 10% of the websites I frequent, it doesn’t even work on google.com but hey it works on the settings page, great. Although it fucks up the Dark Reader extension, the extension that generally works on more sites. But I will say Chrome’s version looks cleaner, it just doesn’t work on most sites.
I plan on sticking with dark reader if I want a darker Chrome until Chrome fixes theirs to work at least as good as the extension at which point I’ll switch.
What if I don’t want chrome to be dark mode, but I do want my mac theme to be dark. I can’t figure out how to make it so that it doesn’t automatically switch to whatever my mac theme is. Any help?

hopefully it works on macOS mojave as well
It’s nice. Mostly because it will hopefully push webdesigners to include dark mode on websites.
Does Office do this too now? It does on mac.
How to enable it manually? (I run custom W10 dark mode so it doenst auto change)
Yay, Windows can change browser themes at night……yawn.

I really dislike dark mode. But…
having more apps that support it, would help a lot with eye strain when switching between the two.
Now if only the fluorescent lights weren’t overhead.
When does 74 come to the public?
[Err…](https://i.imgur.com/R21a1CL.png) (make sure you reset your theme to default, as it’ll very much break if you have a custom theme)
EDIT2: issue #2, now my chromebook has a white theme 🙁
and chrome had the audacity of automatically turning it on for me without any explanation, How do I turn this sh!t off?
