Still blows me away that it's 2017 and no browser has the ability to have a default option for displaying tabs in multiple rows. The Tab Mix Plus add-on was great but no longer works in Quantum...any alternatives, anyone? Thoughts?

Indeed. Unfortunately I also haven’t been able to find one.
I’ve been reading that some (or all) API calls to change UI are simply prohibited/disabled; if that is true, it may take awhile until we have an alternative.
The perfect thing that could happen is if firefox came and tried to implement themselves this (and other similar features)

In any case, do NOT use Firefox 56 as it has security-critical bugs, better use ESR 52 if needed.
