  1. Are you asking if there are tutorials that use cool animations and design in the presentation of their tutorial? Or are you asking if there are tutorials that teach you how to use Rails for animation and design? If you mean the latter, it’s pretty unlikely. Rails is a backend framework, meaning it’s not intended for any sort of front-facing design usage. Languages that handle design and animation are, as far as I’m aware at least, limited to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  2. I haven’t heard of anything directly rails related, there are plenty of different diagrams for learning the concepts like mvc and database relationships but for rails specifically I haven’t ever heard of anything. Its a shame because we have a huge part of our brain that learns from visual cues but rails and most programming languages by nature are generally the opposite of that, you have to hold to concepts in your head.

I think most people are the same as you, I certainly am, but sometimes you just Gotta dig deep and do it the hard way!

  3. I am a visual learner myself. I am going through Michael Hartl’s tutorial, and it’s a great book? But I found that when I had a visual representation of, say, MVC, I understood it nearly instantly as opposed to just reading about it. I would also like some resources that show videos or pictures to explain these concepts.
