I'm new to web development and have been learning Ruby, Rails, JS, and jQuery. I recently pushed my first Rails app, [**Glasses**--the world's simplest and most optimistic weather app](http://damp-mesa-5986.herokuapp.com/).
My main motivation for learning web development is to make a career switch. Glasses was a good first project, but I know I need more experience with more complicated projects before anyone will take a look at me for a dev position. If you have any advice/thoughts/experiences on how to get hired to that first development job, I'd greatly appreciate you sharing it. Thanks!
